We still list on Airbnb and Vrbo, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. But if you’ve stayed with us before, or you’re comparing prices across platforms, there’s a simpler way to book — directly with us — and it’s worth explaining why.
The condo doesn’t change. It’s the same unit at Kauai Kailani, the same 100 feet to the beach, the same Superhosts who’ve been welcoming guests here since 2018. What changes is what’s in the middle. Booking platforms charge service fees on top of the nightly rate — sometimes a meaningful chunk of the total. When you book direct, that markup doesn’t exist. Same condo, fewer people taking a cut in between.
It also means you’re talking to us, not a support queue. If your flight gets delayed, if you have a question about parking, if you want to ask whether a crib is available before you book — you’re reaching the people who actually manage the property, not a third party reading from a script. We’ve hosted long enough to have real answers, not generic ones, to the questions guests actually ask.
Direct booking doesn’t mean less protection, either — you’ll still get a clear cancellation policy and a straightforward process, just without an extra fee layered on top of it for the privilege.
